Jakaylee Minor, Founder & CEO
MBA Women of Houston
Jakaylee Minor is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MBA Women of Houston.
She holds an Associate of Arts (AA) in Business Management and Marketing from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing from Texas Southern University, where she founded the Real Estate Society of Texas Southern University. She is currently in the final year of her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business at the University of Houston–Downtown, where she continues to advance her focus in global strategy, leadership, and executive-level business development.
Jakaylee established MBA Women of Houston to address a clear gap in Houston’s professional ecosystem: the lack of an exclusive, high-caliber network for MBA-educated women. While more women are earning MBAs, there are limited structured spaces focused on their advancement into executive leadership. She founded this association to elevate that pathway by cultivating a refined, strategic network centered on access, opportunity, and executive-level advancement for MBA-educated women within Houston’s business community.
MBA Women of Houston was founded in response to a persistent and well-documented leadership gap among highly educated women in business, with a specific focus on Houston’s dynamic and corporate-heavy economy.
This disconnect between educational attainment and executive access underscores a broader “executive divide,” one defined not by capability, but by access, visibility, and strategic opportunity within high-growth markets like Houston.
MBA Women of Houston exists to address this gap by cultivating a refined, high-caliber network designed specifically for MBA-educated women. Our association is committed to transforming academic achievement into executive advancement through intentional connection, leadership development, and strategic access within Houston’s business community.
